Mine was very good!

I spent a wonderful day

with all my family at my new home.

Ho trascorso una piacevole giornata

con tutta la mia famiglia nella nostra nuova casa.

Everybody was happy about the food

(ufff!! that was my first "official" lunch with all the family!!)

and we spent a relaxed day together.

Tutti erano molti contenti del cibo

(uff!!! era il mio primo pranzo ufficiale con tutta la famiglia!!!)

e abbiamo trascorso una giornata rilassante insieme.

Just one thing was wrong...

...Sofia broke my camera!!!

So no photos, except this one!!

Solo una cosa è andata storta:

 Sofia ha rotto la mia macchina fotografica!!!

Quindi niente foto, tranne questa!!!

Well, my camera was old and I needed

to buy a new one...

...so let's just say that I have to buy it

sooner than I have thought!

Bhè, la mia macchina era vecchia

e avevo bisogno di comprarne un'altra,

quindi diciamo semplicemente che dovrò

comprarla prima di quanto

avessi previsto!!!

I don't know if it is because

I've spent the last days

decorating my home for Christmas,

watching romantic Christmas movies,

having yummy hot chocolates (with cream, of course),

but today I feel in the Christmas mood!

---well...who doesn't? Christmas is coming!!!!---

ho trascorso le ultime giornate

decorando la casa per Natale,

guardando romantici fil natalizi

e bevendo guduriose cioccolate calde (con la panna, naturalmente),

ma oggi mi sento proprio immersa nell'atmosfera natalizia!!!

So I want to show you a little decoration

I made last year for Christmas using

one of the tecnique I love most: cross stitch!

Quindi vorrei mostrarvi una decorazione
che ho fatto l'anno scorso
usando una delle tecniche che amo di pù: il punto croce!

I love to do cross stitch, especially during
the cold season.
The best moment of the day do dedicate myself
to this hobby is during the evening
relaxed on the sofa,
with a warm blanket on my legs
and watching the fire!


Mi piace molto il punto croce, soprattutto
 durante la stagione fredda.
Il momento migliore per dedicarmi a
questo hobby è la sera,
rilassata sul divano
con una copertina sulle ginocchia
e guardando il fuoco!

Unfortunatley this year I haven't had time
to create some cross stitch decorations
for Christmas,
but I'm working on something...


Purtroppo quest'anno non ho avuto il tempo
per creare qualche decorazione a punto croce
per il Natale,
ma stò lavorando a qualcosa...

I know you all have guessed
what I'm cross-stitching!!!
It will be part of a cushion
 I will place on the sofa!

So che avete indovinato cosa
stò croccettando!!!
Sarà parte di un cuscino che

My Christmas Tree

My Christmas Tree

is red and very traditional.

I use the same decorations every year

and each year I buy something new.

Il mio albero di Natale

è rosso e molto tradizionale.

uso le stesse decorazioni ogni anno

e ogni anno compro qualcosa di nuovo.

Me and Max used to buy each year

2 new decorations,

because we were 2.

Now, since Sofia is born,

we buy 3 new decorations each year.

Io e Max compravano ogni anno

2 decorazioni nuove,

perchè eravamo in due.

Ora, da quando Sofia è nata,

ne compriamo tre ogni anno.

I love to open the boxes which contain

my decorations...

is just like meeting some old friends.

Amo aprire le scatole

dove ripongo le decorazioni...

è come reincontrare ogni anno dei vecchi amici.

I look at each and one of them

and I can tell their story

and remember where they come from,

where I have buyed them,

in which occasion...

Li guardo ad uno ad uno

e posso raccontare la loro storia

e ricordare da dove vengono,

dove li ho comprati,

in che occasione...

And then there are a lot of decorations

I've made...

E poi ci sono anche un po'

My Christmas tree is not

glamourous or chic.

It's a simple

family Christmas tree

full of memories.

A LITTLE BIT OF THIS AND A LITTLE BIT OF THAT

Lovely of you to stop by! I hope you and your loved ones had a lovely Thanksgiving and hope you didn't get trampled during Black Friday!

I know it's been a few days since my last post. So sorry! So much going on, my darling daughter and SIL moved to a townhouse across the bay; so this place was turned upside down and of course all during the week of Thanksgiving (crikey!). Between making a few trips over and back and preparing the turkey feast, it's been a bit frantic.

Yeppers, I managed to cook a 20+ pound turkey and all the fixins in my teeny tiny kitchen ha!


It's a juggling act; organization is an absolute must or it's disaster! ha!

Now that they are setteled into their new place, I've been working on getting this place back in order and taking the opportunity to reorganize things. It's amazing how much more storage I've gained! Hallelujah!

I've also been enjoying all the wonderful holiday decorating that's been going on here in our blogosphere! It's like Santa's elves went bananas! ha!

So I've tried to get everything in order for the linkie parties. I wanted to feature my reindeer; you remember the one I painted white and silver leaf'ed the antlers....yes?


I added my white star full of sparkles



me likey so far....then added a few of these...


as you can see, I've got a white/silver/crystal theme going on here.


and that's as far as I got. ha!

I promise to post it when I'm finished! Til then, just imaging a fabulous santa in white, chandelier crystal drops and swags of crystals and white glass pearls.

A white faux garland would be great or maybe I'll spray paint some faux snow on the evergreen ones I have. I've seen some of you do that and I am really loving it!

Since I'm reorganizing, I came to realize that I HAVE TOOOOOO MUCH STUFF! I need to thin out some things, so I'm going to be putting the more shippable items up for grabs in my etsy shop. As far as the non-shippable, me have no idea. (Garage sale not possible here). But I'll worry about that after the holidays!

Speaking of my etsy, (warning! warning! shameless self promo approaching!)

I just added these two tassels I made just for the holidays....




Oh yes, and I did get an early christmas present


... but that's for the next post! ha! ;)
